JCHC’s Lester Senior Living Honored as Best of Essex 2024 Gold Winner in Senior Care

Whippany, NJ – The Jewish Community Housing Corporation (JCHC) is delighted to announce that our own Lester Senior Living has been awarded the prestigious title of Best of Essex 2024 Gold Winner in the Senior Care category by Suburban Essex! This honor reflects community awareness of our unwavering dedication to exceptional care and a vibrant community for all seniors in Morris and Essex Counties.
This recognition also recognizes the spirit of continuous improvement at Lester Senior Living, and the recent completion of significant renovations which have significantly elevated the resident experience. These improvements, encompassing over 20,000 square feet of the Weston Assisted Living Apartments and the Heller Independent Living Apartments, were previously recognized as The Best Non-Profit Project of 2023 by the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Journal.
Future upgrades will include renovation of outdoor areas, walking paths and landscaping to encourage and support expanded outdoor activities. Further upgrades to independent living and assisted living units will include modern kitchen appliances, walk-in showers, and lower shelving to prioritize safety and accessibility. These enhancements ensure that Lester Senior Living evolves alongside the needs of our residents and stays at the cutting edge of its service offering in the greater community.
