JCHC offers a full range of senior living options across four outstanding communities in Morris and Essex Counties — including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and short-term respite stay. Our Lester Senior Living community, located in Whippany, NJ, offers all of these levels of living. Our Village Apartments in South Orange offer independent senior living apartments. We also offer affordable HUD-subsidized housing at Jewish Federation Plaza in West Orange and B’nai B’rith Federation House in South Orange.
Not at all. JCHC is rooted in Jewish values—compassion, dignity, and community—but our doors are open to seniors of all faiths, backgrounds, and walks of life. Many of our residents are not Jewish, and every person who walks through our doors is welcomed as part of our extended family.
Costs vary by community, apartment size, and level of care. As a nonprofit, we’re focused on building community, dignity, and opportunity for seniors at every stage of life. We offer options across a wide range of budgets, including income-based HUD housing for qualifying residents over 62.
